Christmas Bird Count
Welcome all to the 2011 Lake Ray Hubbard Christmas Bird Count! The date will be December 18th, the day after the Dallas CBC at White Rock Lake and environs. Peter Assman is the new coordinator and compiler of this annual event....Thanks Peter!!!
Lake Ray Hubbard Christmas Bird Count, December 18, 2011
Some of the highlights from past CBC's have been Red-Breasted Merganser, Lesser
Black-backed Gull, and Sora Rail. Help make the 112th Count another success
as we count around Lake Ray Hubbard, city parks, wetlands, riparian areas, and
flyovers. Those who wish to receive handouts, count forms, rare bird forms and
maps should plan on meeting in the
parking lot of Home Depot
located at 2201
Lakeview Parkway (by Highway 66) Rowlett, Texas at
6:30 AM (coordinates 32.9090,-98.5813).
We can see if we'll be short or need to group more participants. Please plan on
meeting at the end of the Count at 5:30 PM
at Siciliano's Taste of Italy at 2210 W. Buckingham Road in Garland for
our official tally and dinner (optional). We're looking forward to the Count
since it had been a big success in the last couple of years. For further details

After the Count meet at Siciliano's A Taste of Italy at 5:30PM
Siciliano's is located southeast of the intersection of Shiloh Road and Buckingham Road, across from North Garland High School
for dinner (optional) and the traditional tally at 5:30 pm. Below is a map to Siciliano's located in south Garland across from close to
LBJ Freeway and just south of Northwest Highway and Saturn Road. If you can't make it please email
